About Taylor

Taylor Heaton is a late-diagnosed autistic mom, speaker, author, and the creator behind Mom on the Spectrum, a fast-growing online platform offering relatable education, supportive community, and affirming resources for autistic adults.

Diagnosed in adulthood, Taylor launched Mom on the Spectrum in 2021 to share her journey, deconstruct harmful myths, and help others feel seen—without shame, pressure to mask, or deficit-based framing. What began as a deeply personal YouTube channel has since grown into a global resource with over 250,000 subscribers and followers across platforms.

Taylor has spoken on stages across the U.S., including alongside Dr. Temple Grandin, one of the world’s leading voices in autism advocacy. She’s been featured in national and local events as both a speaker and emcee, and her work has been highlighted on platforms such as Autiblog Magazine, United for Autism, the Autism Stories podcast, and the National Autistic Society.

In addition to hosting connection groups and creating self-paced courses on topics like burnout, masking, demand avoidance, and sensory overwhelm, Taylor is passionate about making autism education more accessible, affirming, and deeply human. She invites her audience to unmask, rest, and reconnect with the parts of themselves they’ve long been asked to suppress.
