BIO

Crista Hopp, MA is the founder of Connected Pathways Coaching and Connected Pathways Academy. She has personally coached hundreds of students of all ages, and today Connected Pathways Coaching has grown to a team of seven coaches.

Her path to understanding executive function began as a Research Coordinator for the Prematurity’s Effects on Toddlers, Infants, and Teens Study (PETIT), a longitudinal study through Inova Children’s Hospital and Fairfax Neonatal Associates. Over six years, she administered neuropsychological tests to children, supervised university students, and trained interns, work that revealed just how little even education professionals knew about executive function. That gap became her mission.

Through Connected Pathways Academy, she trains coaches and educators in her proprietary Executive Function Interpretive Coaching Framework through her course, Mastering EF, a certified 33-hour training program. Crista is also the creator of the Prefrontal Power Up cards, a practical deck of brain-based strategies for supporting executive function skills at home and in the classroom, paired with the Sidekick Companion Guide workbook for deeper implementation.
