Executive Function/ Neurodivergent Career Coach

What you’ll learn

Workshop 1: Beyond “What Do You Want to Be?

  • How to replace the overwhelming “What do you want to be?” question with short, ADHD-friendly career conversations focused on the present.
  • How exploring strengths, interests, values, and work style can help neurodivergent teens identify realistic next steps.
  • How practical prompts, worksheets, and training resources can support ongoing career planning without pressure.

Workshop 2: Why college acceptance does not equal college readiness

  • Why families should look beyond the automatic college path and evaluate the practical independence skills each post-school option requires.
  • How a parent-and-teen questionnaire can assess readiness in areas like medication, appointments, morning routines, organization, and sleep.
  • How explicit teaching and gradually reduced support—like learning to ride a bike—can help neurodivergent students build independence and make informed decisions.
