Neurodivergent students, particularly those with multiple diagnosis such as ADHD and mood disorders, need special support to capitalize on their twice exceptional status, tools that provide support in areas of significant challenge and opportunities to leverage unique strengths. Strong AI Chat models do that exceptionally well.
While the risks are real, they can be managed relatively easily by providing instructions to the model.

AI allows students with ADHD to speak without filtering or judgment, a unique tool that removes the motivation hurdle in task initiation. It crushes procrastination.
The risk side, dopamine chasing to the point of self-destruction, is not unique to AI and can be managed with a minimal amount of programming. An adult can help with that programming.
